The mining screening system mainly includes the following equipment:
Cylindrical screen: The screen box moves in a circle around the central axis, and the material is graded through the screen under the combined action of centrifugal force and vibration. It is mainly used for ore screening to separate useful minerals from gangue in the ore.
Linear vibrating screen: The screen box moves back and forth in the horizontal direction, and the material slides and jumps on the screen surface to achieve screening. It is often used for mineral fine screening, desludging, etc.
Inclined vibrating screen: The screen box is tilted at a certain angle, and the material flows along the screen surface and passes through the screen under the action of gravity and vibration. It is often used for wet screening and clay screening
Dewatering screen: The material is vibrated up and down and left and right on the screen surface through high-frequency vibration. It is mainly used to process materials with high water content such as coal, ore, sand, construction slag, chemical raw materials, etc.
Fixed screen: The screen surface is fixed and is often used for pre-screening before material crushing. The screening efficiency of fixed screen is low, generally around 50%-60%, and is suitable for processing sticky materials with high water content.
Roller screen: The screen surface is composed of multiple rollers with discs arranged in parallel and staggered, which is suitable for screening coarse-grained minerals. The screening efficiency of roller screen is high, but the structure is complex and the investment cost is relatively high.
Banana screen: Vibration is generated by motors and exciters, which is suitable for screening materials containing a large number of fine particles. The banana screen has a wide working range, is suitable for dry and wet screening, has high efficiency and is easy to maintain.
Linear vibrating screen: Using vibration motors as excitation sources, it is suitable for fine particle screening and removal of heavy media during heavy medium beneficiation. Linear vibrating screens are efficient and stable, and are suitable for assembly line operations.
Swing screen: Three-dimensional motion is generated by vertical vibration motors, which is suitable for screening fine and ultrafine powders and particulate materials. The swing screen has high screening accuracy and is suitable for difficult-to-handle materials.
These equipments have their own advantages and disadvantages in the mining process. The selection of appropriate equipment needs to be determined based on the specific ore properties, processing volume and production requirements.
